There is a quiet tragedy in trying to fix something with broken parts.. Itβs the effort that counts, but sometimes the 'piecemeal' approach just reminds us of how much was lost in the first place.. This really hit hard..what an inkredibly written piece V.. πππΎπππ―
βPeace belongs to the pastβ landed heavily for me.
Thereβs something painful in the way this piece understands that love can remain real even when two people can no longer remain whole together. The image of building a bridge piece by piece, only to realize it still cannot stand, stayed with me.
Rest in Pieces is carries a different timbre than I have come to know and recognize in your poetry. And I have a sense that I should offer you condolence and solace. I am sorry for a loss, whether recent or otherwise. But reading you is always a pleasure and I look forward to every poem I have an opportunity to experience. Be well, my friend.
Kelly, I am so truly touched by this comment. I appreciate your thoughts and condolences. Itβs a more recent loss, but probably a long time coming. It is a loss that I will probably continue to struggle to fully let go. Iβm so grateful for your kindness. β₯οΈ
reading make me feel breathless somehow; I really really really love the first stanza, it's so arresting --- you can almost feel the love breaking apart. Really enjoyed this, definitely subbed! <3

Thatβs a beautiful observation! The fragmented nature of the poem does emulate the fragmented nature of the relationship. Thank you so much β₯οΈ
that's such a precise & beautiful way to describe it; the form doing the same work as the feeling.
definitely glad to have found you & I'd love it if you ever wanted to check out my work too. β‘
Separately. Fragmented and broken.
Deep and beautiful π«
Thank you, Mark β₯οΈ

Thank you β₯οΈ
To let go someone who you can love only fragmentally is such a noble kind of affection.
I really appreciate this comment. β₯οΈ Thatβs exactly it. The feeling of doing the most kind thing for the one you love, and let go of it all.
